QUEENSLAND mining start-up Ambre Energy will lay off up to half the employees at a loss-making coalmine in Montana in the US northwest, with about 75 jobs to be axed.
In mid-January Ambre will lay off up to half the 160 workers from its open-cut Montana Decker Coal Mine, one of the two working mines it owns.
