A woman is dead and a teenage boy is fighting for his life after a head-on collision south of Bundaberg in southern Queensland.
A 38-year-old woman died and a 13-year-old boy suffered critical head injuries when their car and a utility crashed on the Bundaberg-Childers Road at about 9:30pm (AEST) yesterday.
The boy has been flown to a Brisbane hospital for treatment.
The 39-year-old male driver and a 15-year-old girl are in Bundberg Base Hospital, along with a baby girl who was not injured.
All five in the car are from Miles, west of Toowoomba.
The 44-year-old utility driver is also in hospital with serious head injuries.
The Isis Highway reopened early this morning.
