A weekend of violence, that included an incident which left a representative cricketer with a broken jaw, has unfolded in Toowoomba.


Toowoomba Cavaliers batsman Chris Hall was transferred to the PA Hospital in Brisbane on Sunday after allegedly being punched in an altercation in Toowoomba on Saturday night.


In a separate incident, it will be alleged about 12.45am yesterday a 32-year-old Glasshouse Mountains man was walking along Hume Street when he was approached by a group of males.


The man was then allegedly assaulted and cash and a mobile phone were stolen before the group dispersed.


Police are also investigating an assault after a 71-year-old man was hit in the face in Toowoomba on Friday night. The man was walking along Anzac Avenue about 8.45pm after getting out of a taxi when he was struck by an implement across the face.
