If Graham Richardson says it's bad, it must be really bad ("PM should go for party's sake", 22/2).
But is the Prime Minister listening? She would rather hear from her foul-mouthed friend Paul Howes. And when he says it's time, it really will be time.

How could you be so kind to this government in your editorial when you finish off with, "We'll say it one more time for the hard of hearing: private enterprise creates jobs and wealth; governments spend it" ("The resource dollar turns up in unexpected places", 22/2). This government didn't spend the wealth created. It squandered it in spades.

If I was to write Julia Gillard a reference, it would read: "During her term as Prime Minister, Julia Gillard has performed her duties entirely to her own satisfaction."
John Rogers, Karrinyup, WA
There's no other explanation for the endless stream of strategic gifts from Labor to the Coalition -- Julia Gillard's adviser John McTernan must be a Conservative Party double-agent.

Labor caucus? Surely this should be Labor circus.

Australian Workers Union secretary Paul Howse has challenged those he called "gutless pricks" to come out and fight in the open. I don't seem to recall him being open and transparent in June 2010.

Paul Howes snarls "grow a pair" at those criticising the Prime Minister. Given Howes played a leading role in dumping Kevin Rudd for Julia Gillard, who has put Labor in jeopardy of annihilation at the polls, perhaps he might consider attempting to grow one in that space between his ears.
Thos Puckett, Ashgrove, Qld
Paul Howes accused some Labor colleagues of "underminding" the PM. Is he a bit wary of using the word mining after the recent tax debacle?

The advertised Islamic Peace Conference rings alarm bells. Those of us around when the communists founded a world peace congress know well why it was founded. And while there were "useful idiots" in the West who supported it, it was just a smoke-screen for spreading communism.
Hugh Dearden, Toowoomba, Qld
Geert Wilders can't book speaking venues, yet Hizb ut-Tahrir had no trouble booking a venue in Bankstown, NSW, for Taji Mustafa.
