LETTER OF THE DAY: It amuses me to see what it takes for the average Toowoomba resident to get riled up about. Is it ever increasing rates or water charges? No.
Is it increased car registration or the fact that petrol price do not decrease at the bowser when world oil prices have dropped significantly? No.
But when council changes the rules and charges regarding CBD parking, well then you've almost got a riot on your hands!
Having lived on Ruthven St, I can walk to the city centre in 20 minutes and not worry about parking at all.
But I must admit, when I applied for a job in the city I did have qualms about where I would park.
Toowoomba Regional Council be warned, never come between a man or woman and their car!
