A WOMAN is lucky to be alive after her car crashed into a tree and caught fire on Murphy's Creek Rd.
Emergency services were called to the accident in Blue Mountain Heights about 1.45pm today.
A Queensland Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said two fire trucks responded to the blaze, a result of the vehicle colliding with the tree.

The fire was under control within a few minutes of the crews being on scene.
The female driver was transported to the Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.
Sergeant Brent Smith from the Toowoomba Traffic Branch has urged drivers to take care in the foggy conditions.
"Once again during the conditions of fog and rain we ask motorists to show a great deal of extra caution in order to avoid these sort of things," he said.
"Slippery roads, poor visibility conditions have probably added to this as well as driver error."
Sgt Smith said it is believed the driver was travelling uphill towards Toowoomba when she crossed the double lines to overtake another vehicle, clipped a car travelling down and lost control of the vehicle.
The car then speared into a tree and caught fire.
"We'll be investigating further to determine the cause of the crash and to take appropriate action."
