The second Toowoomba Range crossing has been revealed as the second most expensive project for the Federal Government, with works billed to start on July 1, 2015.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Warren Truss has unveiled the total list of infrastructure projects for the New Year.
The comprehensive spreadsheet detailed 69 projects and their total funding commitments by the Federal Government with the Range crossing's $1.285 billion falling just shy of the top funding allocation.

That went to the development of Victoria's $1.5b East West Link.

In what reads as a year-in-review statement, Mr Truss hailed the major projects list as the "biggest infrastructure program in the nation's history", geared toward economic growth.
