FARMERS across the Darling Downs are rejoicing as the rain continues into its third day.
In the last 24 hours Toowoomba received 22mm with areas across the region recording rainfall of up to 30mm.
A Bureau of Meteorology forecaster said the constant light drizzle is set to ease tonight with showers and thunderstorms predicted throughout the week.
"It will be hit-and-miss activity later in the week," the forecaster said.
"As the trough pushes further north there will be a lull on the Darling Downs mid-week but on Thursday the showers and thunderstorms will be redeveloping."
"There is a high chance of showers and storms on Tuesday."
