POLICE from Toowoomba and Dalby are seeking public help with their investigations into the theft and arson of two flatbed trucks at the weekend.

The two trucks were driven away from a business in Carrington Rd, Torrington, which was broken into late on Friday night.

The trucks were found about 9.30pm Saturday after police and fire crews responded to a call of vehicles on fire on the Dalby/Kogan Rd west of Dalby.

Both vehicles were destroyed by the fire.

Toowoomba Criminal Investigation Branch acting officer-in-charge Tony Morris asked that anyone who may have seen two flatbed trucks, one a 1983 model and the other a 2000 model, being driven between Toowoomba and Dalby over the weekend to contact police at Toowoomba or Dalby or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Police suspect someone else in another vehicle was involved, helping those responsible for driving the trucks to leave the scene after the vehicles were torched.
