Weather warning: Stormy day ahead for Toowoomba region - Toowoomba Chronicle


PEOPLE in Toowoomba and across the Darling Downs are being warned of potentially dangerous thunderstorms later today.


A severe thunderstorm warning for south-west Queensland was issued by the Bureau of Meteorology at 10am today.


It warns that severe thunderstorms producing damaging winds could impact on parts of the Maranoa, Darling Downs and Maranoa districts over the next several hours.

FREAK STORM CAUSES FLASH FLOODING


Forecasters say supercells across south-west Queensland today could developed into "some very dangerous thunderstorms".


BOM predicts that "possibly severe" thunderstorms could affect the Darling Downs and Granite Belt this afternoon.


It is expected to get to 33 degrees in Toowoomba today, 37 in Dalby and 38 in Goondiwindi.
