A 47-YEAR-old man has been killed in a horrific crash when his car and a truck collided in North Toowoomba on Tuesday.
The collision happened at a T-intersection on North Street between Ruthven and Mort streets about 11.10am, emergency crews rushing to help the man and truck driver.
But ambulances were forced to step back as firefighters struggled to get the man out.
“He was badly entrapped,” a Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said.
“We had to wait to get him out.”
Despite emergency service’s best efforts, the man died on scene.
The truck driver suffered serious head injuries and was rushed to Toowoomba Base Hospital.
The death comes after yesterday’s fatal crash 10kms out of Dalby when a 20-year-old woman died in a crash between her car and a truck.
