A MAN was attacked through a car window then glassed while sitting with a mate in South Brisbane.
The 23-year-old man and a 25-year-old man were sitting in a car on Lower River Terrace about 12.25am Sunday when a group of people allegedly attacked the younger man through the car’s open window.
He was pulled from the car, attacked and hit with a glass bottle before the group ran away on foot.
They were last seen heading towards Little Dock Street.
The 23-year-old man was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment.
The 25-year-old was not physically hurt in the attack.
Bamaga
A SENIOR police sergeant has been spat on while responding to reports of a fight in Queensland’s cape overnight.
Police responded to the street disturbance on Adidi Street in Bamaga about 11.45pm, with a large group brawling.
While police attempted to control the group, the senior sergeant was spat on the back of his neck.
Objects were also thrown at the police car, shattering the front window.
One man has been arrested.
Toowoomba
TWO teenage boys have been arrested after they and a group of men allegedly attacked and robbed a man in Toowoomba on Sunday.
Police have alleged the 16-year-old Harristown and 15-year-old Newtown teens were in a group that attacked a 32-year-old man on Hume Street about 12.45am.
Cash and a mobile phone were stolen.
Two boys, a 16-year-old from Harristown and a 15-year-old from Newtown, were found a short distance away and arrested.
They have been charged with one count of each of robbery with violence and will be dealt with under the provisions of The Youth Justice Act.
Algester
A MAN armed with a knife allegedly threatened a bottle shop attendant in an armed robbery in Algester on Saturday night.
The offender allegedly entered the Algester Road business and threatened a male staff member before demanding cash about 8.40pm.
The man allegedly fled the scene on foot with an unknown sum of money and was last seen on Beaudesert Road.
The alleged offender was wearing a dark hooded jumper, a black baseball cap and blue tracksuit pants.
He is described as being in his mid 20s, of a proportionate build with a dark complexion.

Biloela
POLICE are investigating the stabbing of a 20-year-old man in central Queensland on Saturday night.
The man is believed to have been stabbed at a house in Malakoff Street, Biloela about 11pm.
He was taken to Biloela Hospital and was expected to be airlifted to Rockhampton Hospital on Sunday for further treatment.
