A HUNT is under way after a man was killed in a hit-and-run incident on the Warrego Highway near Toowoomba overnight.
Police are searching for the car involved in the crash after the man's body was found at Helidon, just before 4am on Sunday morning.
A police spokesman confirmed the victim appears to have been hit by a car in the early hours of the morning.
"The injuries are consistent with being hit by a car but at this stage we are still investigating," he said.
They are appealing for anyone who may have seen the crash that killed the man.
