Toowoomba bypass business case results. How much will the project boost the economy?

Toowoomba is the largest inland provincial city in Australia and yet has a constant flow of heavy vehicles going along its main streets.


As well as serving as a corridor for Western Queensland, every truck that goes from Darwin to Brisbane will cross the main street of Toowoomba.


Today a forum is taking place at Picnic Point function centre and the Toowoomba Regional Council is wanting to 'seal the deal' and make the bypass a reality.


Toowoomba & Surat Basin Enterprise have partnered with the Council to commission an independent economic assessment to assist in collecting real data to support the business case for the region's need for range by-pass infrastructure.
