TOOWOOMBA driver Will Power has built some momentum heading into a run of IndyCar road circuit races.
Power finished a promising fourth at the Pocono Indy 400 yesterday morning (AEST) behind the Chip Ganassi Racing trifecta of Scott Dixon, Charlie Kimball and Dario Franchitti.
The fourth placing was Power's second-best finish of the season, with his third at the Milwaukee IndyFest last month making it two top five results in the past three rounds.
That gives Power reason for optimism as the IndyCar series heads into a run of seven road circuit races.
The Team Penske driver has established a formidable reputation on street circuits over the past three seasons, although the results weren't forthcoming earlier in the season.
Power moved up to fourth in the drivers' championship after Pocono but is 114 points behind series leader and Penske team mate Helio Castroneves.
