THE Toowoomba Clydesdales have suffered further blows following their 40-point FOGS Cup Colts Challenge loss to Sunshine Coast on Sunday with dangerous outside backs Ben White and Hayden Edmonds expected to be out for the rest of the season.
The Clydesdales could have moved into the top five with a win over Sunshine Coast at Gold Park but were outplayed 58-18 in a result that drops them back to seventh.
Vice captain Ben White was a casualty of the loss and will miss the rest of the season after breaking his ankle.
The centre was helped from the field with the injury in the 13th minute and leaves a big void to fill as the Clydesdales push for a maiden under 29s finals berth.
Winger Hayden Edmonds is also likely to miss the rest of the regular season after suffering a serious finger injury. He is expected to have surgery this week to re-attach a tendon in his finger.
The Clydesdales will regroup this week before taking on Ipswich on July 20.
