A TOOWOOMBA mum is singing the Toowoomba Criminal Investigation Branch praises after detectives located the family's missing trampoline.

"We thought it was long gone," Tash Burns said.

"They should be very proud of a job well done."

Ms Burns said she was forever grateful for the work of the detectives, The Chronicle and members of the Toowoomba Things For Sale Facebook group for their outpouring of support.

"Some people have been so kind and helpful and the outpouring of empathy is really touching," she said.

"It's meant a lot that people have been out actually looking and sending their well-wishes through.

"You just don't see that every day. It's wonderful and inspiring."

She said some members of the community even offered to help replace the trampoline if it came to that.

Ms Burns said her daughters were excited to have their trampoline returned.

"We're a very lucky family."

The trampoline, intended for a form of therapy for two of Ms Burns' daughters Jessie and Gracie who have cerebral palsy, was stolen from the house last week, four days after it was purchased.

The purchase of the trampoline was made possible by the Cerebral Palsy League Toowoomba through its Better Start funding.

It was returned by detectives at the weekend, completely intact.
