"L" Platers on the Internet

The internet - we're all on it aren't we?
It's an integral part of all of our lives isn't it?
Well, it would be easy to come to that conclusion - but the answer is no.
There are a lot of people hwo are either what you might call "conscientious objectors", or older people who have missed the digital wave and now find it too hard to catch up.
At the moment though, Toowoomba Regional Council is giving you a chance to learn about the internet and anything else about computers - right down to simply turning the machine on.
This week I dropped in to the council's new digital hub at the city library for a class called "Internet for the first time user".
I met four people taking their first tentative steps into the waters of cyberspace.
