Toowoomba Regional Councillor Sue Englart has requested a list of all the consultant companies under council contracts.


After reading through a list of current projects, Cr Englart remarked she was concerned about the amount of work not being handled by council officers.


"It reads like it is all being done out of house," she said.


Planning and development services general manager Stewart Somers said he would issue Cr Englart with the full list.


Two years ago The Chronicle revealed Toowoomba Regional Council had outsourced almost $10.5 million worth of work to outside companies during 2009-2010.
