Bringing Easterfest back to the city

Hey, here's a tip for you.
Some of the best bits of Easterfest actually happen outside of Queens Park !
This morning, I went along to the launch of Easterfest City 2013 - the festival which brings some of the best artists from the Queens Park precinct into 23 cafes and performance venues throughout the Toowoomba CBD.
Easterfest City chief Drew Vallejos said the event had grown enormously since the idea first came to fruition in 2010.
"It's been an interesting journey," he says.
"The whole thing has exploded and more and more cafes and restaurants are jumping on board and the park sometimes feels a little empty during the middle of the day as people are out exploring.
"And ofcourse that's really what wew wanted in the first place."
He says Easterfest City started in the city so it was exciting to see Easterfest come back into the CBD and back into the general culture of the city.
